Determined Cat Opens And Climbs Drawer For Catnip

Determined Cat Opens And Climbs Drawer For Catnip

Because addicts will do almost anything for their next fix, this is a video of a fluffy white cat opening a desk drawer (doing several pull-ups in the process) in order to get to the catnip hidden inside. That looks like it took quite a bit of effort. I mean for a cat, for a human that would have been easy because we have hands and aren’t only a foot tall. Now speaking of addiction… “Your girlfriend hid the Girl Scout Cookies from you again, didn’t she?” Last year I found a box taped inside the toilet tank! “Gross.” I still ate them. “Let me guess — all in one…shitting?” Don’t be gross.

Grizzly Bear Encounter While On Hike

Grizzly Bear Encounter While On Hike

This is a video from some South African hikers who encountered a large grizzly bear while out exploring the wild of the northern Rocky Mountains. Apparently the bear had been coming towards them for about a minute before the person with the camera realized this could be their last will and testament and started filming. They titled the video ‘Grizzly bear encounter (friendly)’, although I didn’t see anything friendly about it besides not getting mauled to death. Is that the only standard we have for ‘friendly’ bear encounters? I mean it’s not like it invited them into its home for tea and to sit on the chair it mended after Goldilocks broke it. Now that would have been friendly. No, I’m afraid I’m going to have to reclassify this encounter simply as ‘non-deadly’. Which, as far as bear encounters go, is really all you can hope for.

Gymnast Performs First Uneven Bars Nebieva Skill In NCAA Competition

Gymnast Performs First Uneven Bars Nebieva Skill In NCAA Competition

This is a video of Auburn gymnast Sunisa Lee performing the first Nebieva in NCAA competition history. What’s a Nebieva? It’s a G-rated (the most difficult in gymnastics, but tamest for movies) skill named after gymnast Tatiana Olegovna Nabieva that consists of a “pike sole circle backward with counter stretched hecht (layout position over high bar) to hang.” No clue what that means, but it was impressive to watch (note: it’s the first part of the routine, not the dismount). For reference, I stretched getting out of bed this morning and felt something in my rib cage pop, then it was painful to breathe and I just assumed I was having a heart attack and laid on the floor and waited for the Grim Reaper to take me. But then my dogs crawled out from under the bed and started licking my face and I was healed. TL;DR: dogs are little shit-breathed miracle workers.

Dark: The Teletubbies In Black And White With Joy Division Soundtrack

This is a video of the Teletubbies frolicking in black and white to Joy Division’s ‘Atmosphere’. It’s dark, both visually and metaphorically. I actually had to watch several cute puppy videos immediately afterwards just to pull myself out of the dark hole my brain started digging. You know, love WILL tear us apart again is the thing. Uh-oh. *Chrome History, Recently Closed, Funny Dogs Chasing Their Tails Compilation – YouTube*

Man Demonstrates His Incredible Ability To Balance Things

Man Demonstrates His Incredible Ability To Balance Things

Because everybody needs a hobby and a hobby that doesn’t cost anything is ideal, these are several videos of cool, calm, and collected Aleksei Shlega demonstrating his ability to balance random objects on top of one another, creating precarious sculptures in the process. Man, his hands must be STEADY. My hands? Let’s just say I could never be a surgeon. And not just because of the easy access to all those drugs, but partially. Also because my hands are complete garbage. I mean it’s already hard enough to type these articles without pushing a bunch of keys I don’t want to. But enough about my penis having a mind of its own I AM THE GREATEST!!1 dammit, see what I mean?

Keep going for balancing beer mugs, rocks, wine glasses, clothes irons, guitars and more.

Beautiful Long Exposure Light Painted Skeleton Stop-Motion Film

Beautiful Long Exposure Light Painted Skeleton Stop-Motion Film

This is a short stop-motion film featuring a light painted skeleton (drawn using long exposure photography) who’s out on the hunt for treasure. The film contains several themes I can relate to: a skeleton (I have one), being dead (I usually feel like it), and treasure (I’m always looking for it). I also believe it carries a profound message. One about spending your whole life searching for something that was right in front of you the whole time, but now you’re dead so you have to collect SOUL GEMS to trade to the Grim Reaper so he’ll let you peer through his telescope back to the land of the living, where you sadly catch a glimpse of the one that got away, banging somebody else.
