Finally, The Blockbuster Membership Credit Card Skin We’ve All Been Waiting For

Finally, The Blockbuster Membership Credit Card Skin We've All Been Waiting For

Because what better way to pay than with nostalgia, this is the Blockbuster Membership Card skin for sale by Etsy seller OdocoCustoms for $8. Available in four styles (chip cutout only, name and # cutout, chip and name cutout, and no cutout at all), you’ll be the envy of everyone around when they see you whip out and pay with what appears to be a video rental membership card. “Um, did that handsome devil just pay with an old Blockbuster card?” I imagine people wondering aloud to their friends while my debit card is in the process of being declined because my bank account, like Scorpion’s rival, is Sub-Zero.

Thanks to Juliet, who agrees they need to make one that looks like an Olive Garden Never Ending Pasta Pass. Talk about making people jealous!

A Compilation Of Very Satisfying Hedge Trimming Finishes

A Compilation Of Very Satisfying Hedge Trimming Finishes

This is a compilation video created by a hedge-trimming business based out of Melbourne, Australia of a number of hedge-trimming jobs reaching their very satisfying conclusions. God, if they had actually left any of those uncut bits it really would have bothered me. I’m what you might call a perfectonest. “You spelled perfectionist wrong.” Eh, whatever.

Nailed It: Guy Covers Barenaked Ladies’ ‘One Week’ Like Blink-182

Nailed It: Guy Covers Barenaked Ladies' 'One Week' Like Blink-182

This is a video of musician Alex Melton reimagining Barenaked Ladies’ 1998 hit ‘One Week’ as a Blink-182 song. It’s pretty spot-on. As a matter of fact, I’m not convinced that isn’t Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus just wearing an Alex Melton costume. And even if it’s not, with all the deepfake technology running amok, you can’t really believe anything you see on the internet. Why just the other day I could have sworn I saw — and you won’t even believe this — a naked lady. “You didn’t!” I mean it had to be CG right?! “Had to be.” Figures.

Keep going for the video, as well as the original for reference/to feel old, as well as a BONUS video of Alex reimagining Third Eye Blind’s ‘Semi Charmed Life’ as a Blink-182 song.

What The?: Cat Laying Upside-Down Hanging Head Off End Of Sofa

What The?: Cat Laying Upside-Down Hanging Head Off End Of Sofa

Cats: it’s impossible to tell what’s going through their mind at any given moment. Take this upside-down couch cat for instance — what’s it thinking? Nothing? EVERYTHING? That’s the thing, you can’t tell. Per the cat’s caretaker: “Just my cat being weird.” But aren’t cats always being weird? So really, being weird is normal for a cat and being normal is weird for a cat. So you should have said ‘Just my cat being normal,’ which would have been accurate, or ‘maybe less catnip next time,’ which would have been even more accurate.

Stop Motion Jawa Performs Van Halen’s ‘Eruption’ In Tribute To Late Rock Star

Stop Motion Jawa Performs Van Halen's 'Eruption' In Tribute To Late Rock Star

To pay tribute to the late, great rock star, this is a video created by stop motion animator Thomas J Yagodinski of a Jawa performing Van Halen’s ‘Eruption’ on a custom made 16-inch Frankenstrat. Thomas made both the Jawa and the miniature Frankenstrat for the video, which was a treat to watch. Now we just need to take this act to Mos Eisley and start making some serious space-bucks! We can even get the original Mos Eisley band to open for him. “Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes?” Huh? “That’s the name of the band.” The ones with the mosquito heads? “I guess?” Forget it *snatching flyers* you’ll never make it as a promoter in this galaxy.

Thanks to my dad, who agrees you’re never too young, or old, to rock.

Pilot Takes Off In 2.5-Feet, Lands In 16.5-Feet For Short Take Off And Landing Competition

Pilot Takes Off In 2.5-Feet, Lands In 16.5-Feet For Short Take Off And Landing Competition

Note: Keep your volume down.

Because everybody needs a hobby and some people own planes, this is a video of pilot and short takeoff and landing (STOL) competitor Steve Henry using his Wild West Aircraft Highlander plane with Edge Performance EPeX Yamaha engine and 15-20MPH winds to successfully land in 16.5-feet, then take off in only 2.5-feet. For reference, my– “Let me guess, penis is longer and wider?” I mean I don’t want him trying to land that plane on it, but yes.
