Whoa!: A Caracal Kitten Performs A Perfect Ear Flick
In cool cats and kittens news, this is a video of caracal kitten Kora at the Wild Cat Conservation Center in New South Wales, Australia demonstrating her absolutely perfect ear flick. Apparently caracals actually use their tufted ears to communicate with each other. And, as someone who just watched the video somewhere between twenty and thirty times, I can honestly say Kora here also communicated with me — directly with my heart. It’s seriously glowing like E.T.’s right now. Should I phone home?! “You can try, but we’re not going to answer.” Dad! “Thank God for caller ID.” Mom!
Keep going for the brief video in both Instagram and Twitter forms.

Pakistani Orchestra Performs Dave Brubeck Quartet’s Jazz Classic ‘Take Five’
Dave Brubeck Quartet’s ‘Take Five’ is easily one of the most recognizable jazz standards ever recorded. Contrary to popular believe, the song was actually composed by quartet saxophonist/long time Brubeck collaborator/boozehound Paul Desmond, and became the first jazz single to sell over a million copies. And this is a video of Pakistan’s Sachal Studios Orchestra performing the hit, complete with some of their traditional instruments, including a sitar. It’s definitely something you could sit in the dark and listen to while casually sipping on a glass of *sniffing drink* what is this anyways? “Gasoline.” I’m loving it.
Whatever Works: Apartment With A Very Unusual Back Door
Just like the wooden sign in the kitchen at my girlfriend’s parents’ house says that I laugh to myself every time I see: back door friends are best. And this is a video from apartment hunter Jamie Wilkes who was shown a property with a very unique back door into the kitchen, one that’s hidden in the countertop and leads down a flight of stairs to ground level. How about that! Would you live there? I’d live there, I looooove secret passages. Like my current apartment his a secret passage from the living room to the back of my closet. “He ran through the wall drunk one night.” Honey! “What?” We were never getting that security deposit back anyways.
Viewed a flat today and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to stop thinking about the back door… pic.twitter.com/uscUF7pLH9

Oh Wow: Marketing Video Of Vin Diesel Playing With Street Shark Toys In 1994
This is a marketing video of a leather-vest-with-no-undershirt clad Vin Diesel playing with some Street Shark toys at the 1994 Toy Fair, at age 27. Man, he is INTO those Street Sharks. I don’t even think this is acting, I think he really feels a connection to those toys. “You’re the baddest-ass Street Shark of them all!” I imagine him telling himself every morning as he uses selfie mode to admire himself from the comfort of his race car bed.
Self Proclaimed Tai Chi Master Calls It Quits 10 Seconds Into MMA Fighter Bout
Because life, sometimes in the form of a punch, comes at you quick, this is a video of MMA fighter Xu Xiaodong jabbing self-proclaimed defense training tai chi master Chen Yong in the face hard enough in the first ten seconds of their fight for Chen to tap out. Wow, so if this is master-level tai chi then a beginner really has a lot to look forward to in their development. I mean the way he couldn’t stop either one of those kicks or the punch — you don’t just learn that sort of technique overnight.
Keep going for the video, which should start playing at 27:14 when the fight is about to start, but skip there if it doesn’t.
Awww: Dog Helps Blind Friend Down Stairs
In proof dogs are better than humans in absolutely every possibly way, this is a video of Dexter the boxer helping his blind puggle friend Ginger down the stairs. How sweet is that? For reference, my dogs always try to bite each other’s legs when they’re going down the stairs because they’re little monsters and would almost certainly be running with scissors right now if they were human children.
Keep going for the original TikTok video from owner cougargurlie (plus bonus vid of Dexter keeping an eye on Ginger while she goes outside to the bathroom), as well as a Youtube version.
