Because they never stood a chance, this is a supercut of all 29 redshirt deaths throughout Star Trek: The Original Series as compiled by Youtuber John DiMarco (previously: his other Star Trek compilation videos). Man, it would have sucked to join Starfleet just to be handed inevitable death in the form of a red uniform. Personally, I would have washed mine in bleach and become a pinkshirt. Pinkshirts always survive because they’re smart enough to go AWOL, which is why you never see them aboard the Enterprise just waiting to die.
