Streaker At PGA Golf Tournament Bellyflops Into Water Hazard

Streaker At PGA Golf Tournament Bellyflops Into Water Hazard

These are a couple videos from the PGA’s Waste[d] Management Phoenix Open in Scottsdale, Arizona (where spectators start drinking at 9AM and go all day) of a mulleted streaker running across the course and bellyflopping into the water hazard on the 18th hole. He then swims across the pond before being arrested for “trespassing, disorderly conduct, and failure to obey orders from a law enforcement officer.” A small price to pay for being featured on BornInSpace, I imagine him thinking. Also, “What’s Borninspace?”

Water Balloon Hat In Ultra Slow Motion

Water Balloon Hat In Ultra Slow Motion

This is a video of a man who looks like he goes to a climbing gym very briefly wearing a water balloon for a hat, filmed in ultra slow motion. The way it conforms to his head but doesn’t pop, that’s wild. Watching the footage at regular speed you wouldn’t guess it would be worth watching in slow motion, but you’d be wrong. Now I want to watch everything in life in slow motion to see what I’ve been missing. Is that an available super power? What do I need to do, eat a stopwatch? “You have to put it up your butt.” Oh sure, just like the model airplane was supposed to make me fly?

Thanks to JustA, who agrees dude briefly looks like the lead singer from Jamiroquai in their ‘Virtual Insanity’ music video.

Building An All Plastic ‘0% Wood’ Acoustic Guitar

Building An All Plastic '0% Wood' Acoustic Guitar

In a step towards playing air guitar and actually having sound come out and shock the people watching, this is a video of Tim Sway attempting to build a ‘0% wood’ acoustic guitar, constructed almost entirely out of clear acrylic plastic with metal hardware. But how does it sound — that’s the question. And the answer is not bad. Now carve one out of solid marble! Then we can hang it around the neck of Michelangelo’s David like he’s a rock star. Plus it’ll cover that little dangle of his so I can stop staring at it. Really draws the eye, doesn’t it? It’s like the middle of a dart board.

Woopsie: Grandma Accidentally Backs Through Video Game Store

Woopsie: Grandma Accidentally Backs Through Video Game Store

Because grandmas will be grandmas, this is some security cam footage of a woman backing her van through the entirety of a Joplin, Missouri video game store, causing one person to have to jump out of the way. The official description: “A grandmother was waiting on her grandson to shop. The accelerator got stuck in reverse [Editor’s Note: riiiiight], causing her to drive through the store, and completely destroy games and fixtures. Everyone was okay.” Well thank goodness all the humans were okay, but what about all those NPCs? They’ll never see the light of a television screen again! *pours out a little liquor, licks it off desk* I was in love with that lizard lady from Skyrim.

Thanks to Allyson, who agrees grandma here needs to lay off the Grand Theft Auto.

Woodpeckers Stash Over 700 Pounds Of Acorns In California Home’s Wall

Woodpeckers Stash Over 700 Pounds Of Acorns In California Home's Wall

These are several shots and a video of the removal of 700 pounds of acorns that a pair of acorn woodpecker stashed in the wall of a Santa Rosa, California home. Nick Castro of Nick’s Extreme Pest Control was actually inspecting for mealworms when he discovered the nut hoard, and was tasked with preventing the birds from making any more deposits. He says the acorn stash, which he estimated was two or three years worth of savings, filled up 8 garbage bags and weighed over 700 pounds. Damn that’s a lot of nuts! Still, I can’t help but feel like these birds should be compensated for their loss. I mean at least dump all the acorns back in the yard. How would you like it if someone came along and stole your whole retirement? I’d be pissed. I mean I don’t have any retirement, but if I did I’d be pissed for sure.

Thanks to my dad, who agrees that was an impressive stash.

Pixelart Metroid Cosplay With Spinning Morph Ball

Pixelart Metroid Cosplay With Spinning Morph Ball

This is a video of a cosplayer dressed as 16-bit pixelated Samus in a Metroid Dread skin of her Super Metroid armor created by Dan of Dan Cartell Art, with the addition of the spinning morph ball made by @ccamp88.rupk. Man, I still remember at the end of the original Metroid when Samus took her helmet off and revealed she was a woman. Talk about a reveal! I had to watch a clip on Youtube because I could never beat the game when I was a kid.
