Per Jason: “The advantages of the flail axe are numerous. The build up of kinetic energy achieved through centripetal acceleration, increases the striking force of the double-bit head. Thus, little effort is needed to achieve a powerful swing. The long handle, which is twice the length of the chain, provides ample area for one’s striking hand to be safely placed without fear of it being struck by the blade. Upon impact, force is dissipated through the chain, transferring little to no shockwave to one’s hand or body.” That’s cool, but if you were wondering if this is a good choice for chopping wood after a handful of beers, just remember you’re about one minute away from needing emergency medical treatment, but two hours from the nearest hospital.

It’s hard to believe this is real. The building, and just Dubai in general. It looks like footage from a super realistic city-building simulator, where the goal is to do as much coke as your nose can hold and build the most insane city possible. Nicely done, Dubai.

This is a video (that I’ve watched at least a dozen times studying the faces of the people in the arena) of tennis player Alexander Bublik smashing three rackets in a row after losing a point to Grégoire Barrère in the 2023 Open Sud de France. His God Of War rage meter must have been full! Still, that’s poor sportsmanship, and maybe if you were as good at playing tennis as you are at breaking rackets this wouldn’t have happened.

Inspired by The Q’s previously posted bicycle version, Sean Kerr and friends at Youtube channel Bikes And Beards decided to try building a motorcycle with a split back wheel. They do an okay job, but I’ve got the feeling they didn’t build the bike with the same precision engineering as The Q, because that thing rides like you’re constantly running over bodies. Great for training for the zombie apocalypse, not so much for pre-apocalypse everyday driving.

Because people are, by nature, filthy animals, this is a shot of the floor behind Redditor FireRotor’s bed, where he throws his disposable contacts every night. I like the few that are clinging to the wall, like they think they’re better than the rest of those floor contacts. In his post, FireRotor originally tried to blame his girlfriend for the contacts, before coming clean and admitting it was him. Talk about red flags! But at least not pink eyes. I just showed this to my girlfriend and she threw up in her mouth a little, but thankfully didn’t try to baby bird it to me like this disgusting monster probably would have.
