Front-Flipping A Roller Coaster Bike Down The Stairs

Front-Flipping A Roller Coaster Bike Down The Stairs

Because apparently some people do more with their friends than mindlessly drink and watch television, this is a video of pro BMX rider Scotty Cranmer and buddies trying to front-flip a roller coaster bike (which I actually invented when I was four or five) down some stairs. It’s a success. They also attempt the world’s first roller coaster bike rail grind with front flip exit, and achieve gold on their second attempt. That’s cool. Maybe not as cool as drinking and watching television, but these guys probably don’t have an entertainment center built out of Miller Lite cans either.

Nailed It: Duo On Ski Lift Fail To Dismount Properly

Nailed It: Duo On Ski Lift Fail To Dismount Properly

This is a short video from the top of a not very snowy ski lift (where is this, Florida?) of two skiers failing to exit the lift properly, with one sitting down right away, and the other waiting until the lift is making its turn to fall off. Honestly, if they’re having this much trouble on the lift, are they sure they have what it takes to actually ski? Maybe they should return to the bunny hill, or, even better, an ant hill. I’m sure you could find one there in the dirt. Video games are also a viable option.

Thanks to JustA, who agrees some people are just better suited for sipping hot cocoa by the fire.

Robot Band Peforms Nirvana’s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’

Robot Band Peforms Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'

This is a video of the entirely robotic One Hacker Band performing a rendition of Nirvana’s 1991 banger ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’. Even without watching the video, you can tell it’s a robot band playing it. It sounds robotic. Like I’ve often been accused of, it has no soul. Also, are we just supposed to ignore the fact this robot band has Kirby imprisoned in its bass drum?

60-Second Documentary About An Extreme Mountain Unicyclist

60-Second Documentary About An Extreme Mountain Unicyclist

This is a 60-second documentary (the perfect documentary length in my opinion) highlighting German extreme mountain unicyclist Lutz Eichholz. In his own words about why he does what he does: “I think it’s important to be scared. It’s the only that thing which avoids that you die. When people see me unicycling in the mountains they don’t understand how it can be possible. So it’s usually like oh what’s up? When you have never ridden on one, it feels impossible for you…”. Powerful words. A little disjointed, sure, but he’s an extreme mountain unicyclist, not a poet. Also, if being scared is important, then I’m doing important work all day, every day.

TV And Movie Background Extra Makes Reel Of All His Work

TV And Movie Background Extra Makes Reel Of All His Work

This is a reel created by background actor EJ Zapata arguing all that television, commercials, and films exist in the same cinematic universe based on his (many) on-screen appearances. EJ has been busy in the background! Me? I have also been busy in the background, but even further back. Way back there, in the shadows, lurking like a vampire. Don’t worry though, I’m not into blood, only drinkable yogurt. Oh, and spinal fluid.

The Most Exciting 61 Seconds In The World Of Darts

The Most Exciting 61 Seconds In The World Of Darts

This is allegedly the most exciting 61 seconds the world of darts has ever seen, which took place between Michael Smith and Michael van Gerwenat at the’23 World Darts Championship. In the video, both players throw flawlessly in a game of 501 (throwing 7 triple 20s, a single triple 19, and ending with a double 12) until van Gerwenat misses his final double 12 finish, and Smith makes his to clinch victory. Admittedly, that was pretty exciting. But the MOST exciting in darts? I would argue the time I saw a player at the bar try to catch a dropped dart between his legs and stab the tip right into an artery should have at least been considered. I mean that was pretty exciting too, and there’s still blood on the ceiling.
