This is some very well shot footage of the eight 375-foot decommissioned cooling towers at Cottam Power Station in North Nottinghamshire, England being demolished simultaneously with a half ton of explosives. The coal-powered plant operated for 51 years and supplied power to some 3.7 million UK homes. Unsurprisingly, the demolition set a Guinness World Record for most cooling towers demolished simultaneously, presumable because a lot of cooling towers aren’t demolished simultaneously. *cracking knuckles* You point me at ten though and I’ll break that record.
