This is a video of laser and high-voltage experimenter StyroPyro (who I don’t wish lived next door, but do wish lived in the neighborhood) constructing the most powerful handheld laser — a liquid-cooled blaster 50,000X more powerful than a typical laser pointer. Damn! He then tests to see what it can do: melting pennies, burning through razor blades, welding, making a ruby, burning synthetic diamonds, and MORE. Sounds like a good time. I still don’t want him living next door, but two houses down would be cool. I really just need a firebreak.
