This is a short timelapse video of artist Phil Vance painting a Hunter S. Thompson portrait over the course of six weeks using layers of quotes from the author. The result is most impressive. Per Hunter S. Thompson himself: “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!”” Food for thought. Probably a bunch of cocaine and Scotch whiskey if you’re Hunter S. Thompson and it’s breakfast.
