Because the records you don’t need any special equipment for are the most economical to beat, this is a video of 20-year old Iowa clap master Dalton Meyer setting a new Guinness World Record for most claps in one minute, with a staggering 1,140, beating the previous record of 1,080. That’s 19 claps a second! For reference, I slow clap at a rate of about one clap every two seconds, because I’m incredibly slow to express my appreciation to anybody or anything. I can frown disapprovingly with the very quickest of them though.
