This is a video of woodworker Oleksandr Hrytsai carving a life-size xenomorph skull out of dozens of cross-sections of oak he glued together. I would have gone with a solid piece of oak myself, but that’s just me and I know nothing about wood, woodworking, or anything worth knowing in general. The finished product is amazing though. Having that hanging on the mantle will definitely elicit a response. And if it was my mantle the response from my girlfriend would probably not be something about how well it ties the room together. No…I see this starting an argument about spending.
