This is the music video for ‘The Spark’, a song created by a group of Irish tweens as part of the youth rap initiative Rhyme Island in Cork, Ireland. It was released ahead of of June 15th’s Cruinniú na nÓg, an annual “free day of creativity for young people” in Ireland, featuring over 1,000 creative exercises for the youth to participate in. The song hits hard with their little accents, and will undoubtedly be at the top of this summer’s playlist. At least in my car. “I thought you crashed your car.” I still go sit in it in the creek sometimes.
