This is a video of flutist Paul Harvey harnessing his inner Pippin and performing the Lord Of The Rings theme inside a mile-long tunnel in Wisconsin (part of the Elroy-Sparta State Trail). Or maybe it’s the entrance to the great dwarf city of Khazad-dûm, you never know. BEHIND YOU —

Harnessing his inner Rick Allen from Def Leppard, this is a video of drummer El Estepario Siberiano performing some impressively heavy riffs with a single hand while smoking with the other. Damn, he moves FAST. Me? I move at more of a turtle’s pace. You know what they say —

Because experimentation is the mother of the mother of invention, this is a video of musician BERNTH filling his acoustic guitar with water to record a new track appropriately titled ‘Waterworks’. Granted I would have called it ‘Soggy Bottom Blues,’ but that’s just me and I know how to produce

This is a video of Chinese musician Zhang Qihui dressed as a beautiful lotus flower and performing on progressively larger flutes, starting with a diminutive six-incher, and ending with this behemoth, which is so large it requires two more helpers to cover its holes. Now that’s a big flute! It

This is a video of two Nebraskan sousaphone players at Bennington High School (which apparently had no problem lifting their mascot from the University Of Wisconsin) having a lightsaber duel, and providing the appropriate lightsaber sound effects with their instruments. That’s fun. Way funner than anything I did in high

This is a video of musician Ralf Bienioschek covering Queen’s classic ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ on recorder, layering multiple tracks to perform the entire song. That’s impressive. And those recorders are impressive too, nothing like the ones we played in elementary school, which were basically McDonald’s straws with holes in them. And

Note: Just watch the video, you’ll be amazed or I’ll go back in time and give you your 54 seconds back. This is a video of musician Timothy Fletcher (Instagram, TikTok) performing to Juvenile’s 1998 banger ‘Back That Azz Up’ on a snare drum with about as much extra flair
