Folding laundry: hands down my least favorite chore. I don’t even know why, I regularly dodge angry wasps doing yard work and do the dishes and vacuum and a million other things, but for whatever reason when it’s time to fold laundry it just sits in the dryer until I pull it out wrinkled as needed. Enter the multi-purpose Helix humanoid robot from Figure.
[Helix] uses a Vision-Language-Action (VLA) model to process verbal requests, respond, and proceed, such as in the case of folding laundry. These robots can also set the table, sort packages, assemble cars, and more.
Damn — folding laundry, setting the table, AND assembling cars? Now that’s a multi-use robot. “Nice, but is it also a pleasure model?” Dammit, I thought I recognized you! Get out of here, pervert.
