This is a GoPro video from kayaker Mateo Niclas, who spotted a beluga whale beached in the mudflats of a river in Alaska, and quickly jumped into action to return the animal to the water. With the help of his fellow kayakers and a group of nearby boaters, they were able to pull the animal back into the water and witness it swim off. I’m not going to lie, I got a little misty eyed watching. I’ve often been beached in the mud of life myself, so I know how it must have been feeling.
