Roller skate sword fighting: apparently it’s a real thing that people are doing, as evidenced by these videos from the CRABS Historical Fencing society in Nova Scotia (there must have been some pretty wild sword battles in Nova Scotia’s past). I’m a great roller skater, but there’s no doubt in my mind a sword fight at Skate-O-Rama would end with me accidentally falling on my blade and bleeding all the way to the concession stand for a stack of napkins (plus a hotdog and slushie). Still, should roller skate sword fighting be in the next Olympics? Trick question, it should have been in all the Olympics.
