This is a video of woodworker Cory Rusch of Fortress Fine Woodworks building a beautiful flame cherry wooden table with a fire vortex in the middle (created via a fan and spiral of 3D printed tubes below). His woodworking is top-notch, but his fire vortex construction leaves something to be desired when the bottom of the concrete fire bowl explodes while he’s posing for a photo with a plate of spaghetti. Cory chalks the explosion up to moisture, but I chalk the explosion up to not having the fire vortex turned up to 11 like it wanted to be. Sure, everybody knows you shouldn’t play with fire, but what they don’t know is pissing off a fire is doubly dangerous.
