This is a video of the Clifton Hand-Bell Ringers’ Senior Team performing ‘Dueling Banjos’ on hand bells. I bet they all have great handshakes. Now I’m not sure if you were able to tell from the title, but Dueling Banjos is traditionally performed on– “Slide whistles.” Correct. You’d be unstoppable on Jeopardy! Unfortunately, the video’s audio quality left a little something to be desired. I imagine it’s hard to truly capture the acoustic depth of all those bells. Or maybe my laptop speakers are just garbage. I remember when I was growing up the church my family attended had a bell choir and they’d always put on one heck of a Christmas performance. There was one bell that was so big a full grown man had to two-hand ring it! Like catching a monkey throwing poop at the zoo, that was always the highlight for me.
