This is a video documenting the relocation of a 20-year old oak tree that Youtuber letsdig18 planted when he was in 4th grade from an acorn given to him as part of a school science project. He says he made a promise to himself that whenever he was able to build a house of his own, he’d have the tree moved from the woods behind his parents house to his new home. For the most part the video is just the tree spade (the giant tree relocating machine) doing its thing without any commentary, but guy briefly discusses the story once the tree is back in the ground around 16:55, which is sweet and worth a listen. I remember when I was a kid and my family moved I too made a promise to return and get one thing I wanted and that, my friends, is how my ex-neighbor’s 1966 Shelby GT 350 came to be underneath a tarp in my backyard right now.
