American track and field sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson recently set a new world record in the women’s 100m (despite running in a disadvantageous outer lane) at the 2023 World Athletics Championship in Budapest with a time of 10.26 seconds, beating the previous world record by 0.02 seconds. As you may recall, Sha’Carri was unable to compete in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics as a result of testing positive for non performance enhancing cannabis. Earlier in my career I was unable to compete in several job opportunities for the same reason. Now? Now my urine is as clean and blue as the Gatorade I submit for drug tests.
