This is a video of a young Björk Guðmundsdóttir singing ‘Cork The Bitch’s Arse’ as lead singer of punk band Tappi Tíkarrass during a 1982 performance at the Western Melavellinum in Reykjavík, Iceland. She really is a joy to watch on stage — such a presence. Unrelated but also kinda

Kingsland, Arkansas: the birthplace of Johnny Cash. And to honor the musician, the city painted a silhouette of him holding a guitar on a water tower. Then a week ago some vandal/sharpshooter went and shot him right in the crotch so it appears Johnny is peeing. Peeing to the tune(!)

This is an edit of the final dance number from Dirty Dancing with ‘(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life’ replaced with The Muppet Show theme song. It works surprisingly well, and the music supervisor who chose to use ‘Time Of My Life’ instead is probably pinching themself right now

These are two videos of a pair of robotic arms programmed by Swedish composer Frederik Gran to play stringed instruments — in this case, the cello and double base. One arm and hand does the fretting, while the other operates the bow. And while their performance didn’t really tug at

Evan was actually inspired by the Blink-182 covers performed by Alex Menton (previously) before deciding to

This is ‘It’s Not Unusual, Dammit’, a mashup created by DJ Cummerbund of panty wetter Tom Jones’ ‘It’s Not Unusual’ and Blink-182’s teenage angsty ‘Dammit’. It works surprisingly well. You know, ‘Dammit’ will always hold a special place in my sooty, coal black heart because I used to listen to

This is a video of university students from Utrechts Conservatorium in the Netherlands performing a beautiful orchestral cover of Radiohead’s ‘Paranoid Android’ (aren’t they all?) at graduation. Each student arranged their own parts individually, then came together to combine them all into the piece you see here. Most impressive. For
