Because soft fabrics and washing machines are so 20th century, this is a video of 3D designer Minouei Mohsen producing his Akhera sculptural fashion collection. He starts by 3D body scanning the human models, then uses the data to produce perfectly fitting bras and tops digitally before 3D printing them. The collection was inspired by Cleopatra and ancient Egypt, and not Princess Leia’s golden bikini like I’d suspected. Now I’m not saying you could have garnered a lot more attention by going with Leia bikinis, but this would definitely be on the front page of CNN right now instead of BornInSpace if you had.
Thanks to my dad, who knows I’m never going to pass up a good 3D printed bra post.
