Or maybe far more sensual, depending on how you feel about your lover making freaky faces while you do the nasty. If that is your cup of tea though I don’t want to hear about it. This is a beautiful timelapse video captured by BoxLapse of a yellow habanero pepper plant growing over the course of 165 days, beginning as just a tiny seed. Things take almost a month to really start going, but by two months its growing strong, and by 168 days, TA-DA! — ripe habaneros, all ready to put in your butt and start a fire.

Built as part of the creation of video game Titanic: Honor and Glory in which PC players will be able to explore the RMS Titanic prior to and during its sinking, this is a 4K walking tour of the ship. The game will feature a faithful recreation of the entire vessel down to the very last cabin, but they currently have about 50% of the ship built. Am I going to steal the Heart Of The Ocean then escape in a lifeboat before the ship hits the iceberg? That’s the plan!

This is a video of crazy person Laso Schaller setting world records for both the Highest Dive from a High Diving Board and Highest Cliff Jump by leaping from a platform built on a cliff in Maggia, Ticino, Switzerland in 2015 while a group of spectators watch (the tiny ants seen in the upper center of the screencap). The distance to the water is 58.8 meters (192′ 10″), and Laso reaches a speed of 76MPH on his four second cannonball down. Damn — this is the sort of jump you’d only expect somebody to survive in an unrealistic action movie. Thankfully he does though. Still, I always find it weird how many people will show up to watch somebody potentially die.

This is a video of the astronaut sculpture created by ex-physicist (once a physicist, always a physicist in my opinion) and artist Julian Voss-Andreae. It’s constructed of cross section slices of mirrors, and almost seems invisible when viewed directly head-on (or back-on), but appears more solid as you move around the piece. That’s cool, plus the mirrors make things behind it appear to travel in the opposite direction. Trippy! And if there’s one thing about space, it’s trippy. If there’s three things it’s trippy, dark, and lonely.

This is a video from a Dallas, Texas highway of a dual tire rolling and bouncing down the road, trying to leap a dividing wall and failing, then ending up STUCK UNDER THE TRUCK RIGHT NEXT TO THE AXLE IT CAME OFF OF. What are the odds?! Low — the answer is incredibly low. Who knows, maybe the tire regretted trying to roll away from home. Regardless, I’d buy a lottery ticket if I were that driver. I mean I’m going to buy a lotto ticket anyways because that’s just what I do, but I would if I were that driver too. Any sign of good luck and I’m at the corner store buying scratchers. Find a heads-up penny? Scratchers. Tails-up penny? Scratchers. It’s not the best investment strategy, but you have to work with what you’ve got, and I’ve got trash for brains.
