The Guinness World Record for largest display of carved eggs was recently awarded to Chinese artist Ma Chao for the 1,040 intricately carved eggshells he’s produced. The eggs feature characters from the 1986 television series Journey To The West (adapted from Wu Cheng’en’s 16th-century novel of the same name), and Chao carved one egg a day for roughly the last four years. I wonder how many breaks he had during that time. Both eggs and mental. Personally I had at least a couple dozen of each in that time.
