No but seriously how do they work?
Crashing Insanely Powerful Magnets Into Each Other In Ultra Slow Motion

This is a video of Slow Mo Guys Gav and Dan crashing extremely powerful neodymium magnets into one another, and capturing their destruction at 187,000 frames/second. It doesn’t even look real, it looks like the sort of CGI I’d expect to see in a Transformers movie in 20 years. Such high def and super slow destruction. When reached for comment about the video, Magneto told me this is the first time he’d seen it, then hung a sock on his door and told me he’d need a minute.

Keep going for the video, first real-time crash at 2:00, followed by the insane slow motion at 3:30.
