This is ‘You Had To Be There’, a five minute clip from the MTV Vault Youtube channel featuring footage from the 1985 Video Music Awards after party. Despite the title of the clip, I’m not sure you actually had to be there to feel like you were, because my desk is completely covered with spilled drinks and cocaine and cigarette ash now just from watching this video.
