This is a video of cat Alexis and human Anika of Austria setting the Guinness World Record for most cat tricks in one minute, with a very respectable 26 (although whether some of these should qualify as tricks remains highly debatable — e.g. ‘look left’). Anika adopted Alexis when he was eleven and began training with him shortly after, proving that you can, in fact, teach an old cat new tricks. “Meow.” Well I didn’t mean old-old, just like, older. “Meow.” Oh there’s no question you’ll outlive me, my doctor has already started double-booking all my appointments.
