These are several shots captured by Belgian nature photographer Yves Adams in the South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands of a rare leucistic king penguin. Leucism is similar to albinism, but results in only a partial reduction in melanin and other pigments, not total. There are a few more shots of the handsome devil below, including one of him hanging out with a friend on the beach. There’s also a picture of the colony that Mellow Yellow belongs to, although I don’t think he’s actually in that photo, but don’t let that stop you from telling a friend or family member it’s like Where’s Waldo? and seeing how long you can get them to search before elbowing you in the nuts. My girlfriend went three minutes.
