Oh I'm going to let you down alright. BIG TIME.
Rickrolling In HD: Rick Astley’s ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ Remastered In 60FPS, 4K

Because if you have insufferable friends like mine Rickrolling will never die, only lead to a stabbing, this is the music video for Rick Astley’s ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ remastered at 60frames/second and 4K resolution by Youtuber Revideo using neural network AI to herald an all new era of disappointedly clicking blind links. Being so accustomed to the old, crappy version, this remastered one looks so bizarre, like a soap opera. The AI also struggled with the faces, particularly when they’re not closeups, most noticeably when Rick is dancing under the bridge or in front of the big window with the two girls. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a link to text to every single person in my phonebook with the caption ‘LOL slipped on the ice.’

I have been rick-rolled one too many times to push that play button.

Is this dude still alive? It’s be great to see him do a reaction video to his own video now that it’s been remastered.

So weird how the recording framerate can change the entire video. You can go from cinematic to soap opera to home movie just with some settings. Pretty wild. In a film class I remember one group accidentally messed with the camera settings for just one shot and all of the sudden it looked like an actual shot from a movie and we were all blown away. They didn’t know how they did it and couldn’t reproduce it. In retrospect sounds like that was probably a shitty class/teacher.
