Dave Brubeck Quartet’s ‘Take Five’ is easily one of the most recognizable jazz standards ever recorded. Contrary to popular believe, the song was actually composed by quartet saxophonist/long time Brubeck collaborator/boozehound Paul Desmond, and became the first jazz single to sell over a million copies. And this is a video of Pakistan’s Sachal Studios Orchestra performing the hit, complete with some of their traditional instruments, including a sitar. It’s definitely something you could sit in the dark and listen to while casually sipping on a glass of *sniffing drink* what is this anyways? “Gasoline.” I’m loving it.
