In news that’s sure to excite any Transformer out there hoping to start a band (I’m looking at you, Soundwave) Youtuber Mattias Krantz went and built a custom ukulele that can instantly transform into an electric guitar mid-performance. Apparently Mattias built the instrument because he felt ukulele players don’t get the same level of respect as guitarists (Tiny Tim and Israel Kamakawiwoʻole would beg to differ — maybe you just have to be good). Also, I’m not sure how many songs call for a ukulele to electric guitar swap, but maybe they just haven’t been written yet because it was previously impossible. Maybe Mattias just opened the door to an all new genre of Hawaiian folk mashup metal. I’m here for it. Just kidding, I’m only here for packages I’m expecting and food deliveries.
