I’m sure by now you’re all familiar with Theo Jansen’s Strandbeests, right? Giant kinetic moving sculptures that convert wind energy into movement, usually in the form of tens of walking legs? Well now Theo has introduced Strandbeest Evolution 2021, a new line of beests, some of which can take to the skies upon gossamer wings. Or maybe bedsheet wings, whatever. How about that! Make room in the Pokédex, because I’ve gotta catch ’em all! And by ’em all I mean some Z’s. Turn the lights off on the way out, would you?
