In other avian news, this is a video of the winners of the European Gull Screeching Championship, a contest in which humans do their best seagull impressions. The competition appears to have been even fiercer than a gull fight over a french fry this year, with 60 bird impersonators from 14 different countries screeching their hearts out.

…the contest, which has been held for the last five years in the coastal town of De Panne, Belgium, “aims to create a ‘positive image’ of the ‘essential’ coastal birds, who are often despised by the public for their intrusive behavior.”

You know who doesn’t like seagulls? People who act like seagulls — because they hate being reminded of themselves. This is true for a lot of things, which is why I can’t stand wild, well-endowed stallions.
