Created by Data is Beautiful (like a sunset in the Matrix) this is a visualization of how the average US adult aged 25 – 35 spends their day (excluding work and sleep), detailing the changes in activity (and productivity) from 1920 – 2026. People used to do a lot of housework, but since the invention of the radio, television, and internet, people have apparently abandoned keeping their homes clean (I’m kidding, we have fast-acting products and robots for that) and just sit around consuming media. Kind of like you’re doing right now. Wait — don’t go! Having sex came and went(!) from the list several times, but has been absent since 1986, replaced in recent history by watching videos of other people do the nasty. *shrug* These are the times we live in. They aren’t great, are they? I’m not saying they were all that fantastic before, but at least people had sex or the decency to lie about it.
