Inspired by LEGO’s 2021 typewriter set, which did not type, Youtuber Koenkun Bricks took it upon himself to make a version that actually works. And it does, just not how a traditional typewriter does. The mechanism is very impressive, and I’m blown away (FULL DISCLOSURE: I am like a dandelion seed) by the ingenuity. If somebody asked me to make a functional typewriter out of LEGO I’d tell them to give me three days. Then on the third day when they came to see it they’d realize by all the uncollected mail and dirty dishes that I skipped town immediately after telling them to give me three days.
