Because the future looks bleak, this is a video of a Xiaomi Cyberdog with a loudspeaker mounted on (read: taped to) its back patrolling the streets of Shanghai and broadcasting a COVID lockdown announcement. The Cyberdog, not to be confused with Boston Dynamics’ Spot, is able to navigate the city autonomously thanks to “its embedded array of camera sensors including AI interactive cameras, binocular ultra wide angle, fisheye cameras, and an Intel RealSense D450 Depth module.” So…yeah. Technology! The future! The end of humanity! It’s been real, folks. Real disappointing. Like adulthood.
