This is a video of the aftermath of Boonchuay the wild elephant smashing through a kitchen wall in search of salty snacks in the Thai village of Hua Hin, near his regular stomping grounds in Kaeng Krachan National Park. Apparently if wild elephants can’t find enough salty food in the wild during the rainy season they’ll gravitate towards villages with the hopes of finding something there, and this is the result. Could you imagine if this had been your house? I could show this video to my girlfriend and she’d still accuse me of getting drunk and smashing a hole through the wall. She’s not very trusting. But to her credit, I’m not very trustworthy.
