Captured by drone flier Joshua Turner, this is some first person POV footage of summiting the Matterhorn in the Alps, flying along the Hörnli Ridge (the standard human route up the mountain) all the way to the very top. That’s cool, I guess I can go ahead and cross ‘Summit the Matterhorn’ off my bucket list. *eying bucket list* Oh wait, it was on my bucket list. *adds ‘Summit the Matterhorn’, crosses it off* A productive day, my legs really hurt though.

In what I assume is a deleted scene from Ocean’s Eleven, this is a video of a squirrel hiding in the upper corner of a porch and immediately diving into the home as soon as the door is opened for a pizza delivery. That’s wild. Like, the squirrel is. The way that woman screams like a banshee you can tell that’s not her pet.

This is a video from a 10km (~6.2 mile) toboggan trail in the Swiss Alps. That looks like a good time, complete with some relatively high speed straightaways and hairy turns. For reference, the longest sled ride I’ve ever taken was from the top of the hill at the local middle school, to the bottom of the hill at the local middle school, or about 200 feet. “He still peed his pants though.” Honey! “What?” I told you, I drank a bad Red Bull!

This is some crash test footage of a JAC E-JS1 from Chinese car manufacturer JAC Motors, which spectacularly fails all the tests with flying colors bodies. It scores zero stars, and a 0% adult occupant protection rating. So if you own a JAC E-JS1 and were wondering what your coffin is going to look like, you’re driving it. But does it have seat warmers? That’s all I really care about.

Because who needs wind, this is a video of kite-flier Spence “Watty” Watson flying a custom kite he built for the indoor audience at the recent 2023 South Padre Island Kite Fest in Texas. How do you fly a kite indoors with no wind? You run around, because you are the wind…beneath my wings. I mean that, happy Valentine’s Day, what did you get me? I like chocolate AND edible underwear, but NOT chocolate edible underwear, that’s a disaster and my girlfriend thought I pooped the bed, which I actually might have in the panic.

This is a video tour of the permanent Duché de Bicolline LARPing village built in Quebec, Canada. The area includes “hundreds of wooden structures, tent villages, a fort, and a battlefield.” This is a tour taken during setup for The Grand Battle 2022, at which time cars and cell phones and cameras were still allowed. But once the LARPing begins, technology is off-limits and you have to record whatever happens with your memory alone. Which is a shame, because I plan on showing up as a level 140 Warlock and decimating that village with Magic Missiles this year, I only wish I’d be able relive it on Youtube.
