Pet Bunny Comes When Called, Seems More Dog Than Bunny

Pet Bunny Comes When Called, Seems More Dog Than Bunny

This is a compilation video of pet bunny Harmony playing outside, but always keeping her big ears open for her owner’s call, and returning to him immediately when he does call. Now that is a GOOD BUNNY. I have three dogs that could learn a thing or two from Harmony about listening. But noooooo, they’d probably still pretend like they don’t hear and just go right on sniffing around in the grass looking for rabbit poop to eat. I know them.

44.1dB: Canadian Woman Sets World Record For Loudest Nose Whistle

44.1dB: Canadian Woman Sets World Record For Loudest Nose Whistle

Canadian children’s book author and illustrator Lulu Lotus recently set the Guinness World Record for loudest nose whistle, with an impressive 44.1dB snoot hooter. That’s about as loud as a bird’s call. In her own words while I go blow my nose (technically pick) so it stops unintentionally whistling when I breathe:

I discovered that indeed, there was a Guinness World Record category for the loudest nose whistler. Instantly, I knew I had to seize this incredible opportunity….This Guinness World Records attempt is not only a celebration of my unique talent but also a tribute to the incredible support of friends, the kindness of strangers, and my lifelong dream of making my mark in the Guinness World Records book

I needed to measure the sound of my nose whistle using a complex and expensive device, costing several thousand dollars. Undeterred, I embarked on a mission to find assistance. It was during this quest that fate led me to a local company called Aercoustics Engineering Ltd. in Mississauga. When I reached out to them for guidance, they graciously offered to support me pro bono. I was overjoyed and remain forever grateful for their generosity.

Dare to dream, folks, that’s the message here. That seems to be the message a lot of places, and that’s because it’s important. I mean if you aren’t dreaming, what are you doing? “Being awake?” And there’s nothing worse than that! Thank you coming to my sermon, don’t forget to tithe heavily on your way out.

Son Creates Fake News Broadcast To Prank Mom Into Thinking There’s An Alien Invasion

Son Creates Fake News Broadcast To Prank Mom Into Thinking There's An Alien Invasion

NOTE: TONS OF CURSING, SAILOR FAMILY.

This is a video of a guy pranking his mom with a fake emergency broadcast he made warning viewers that a number of UFOs have been spotted above the United States. His mom falls for it hard, and immediately gets on the phone to call her brother and break the news. Of course based on her reaction (“I told you! I told you!”), I suspect she really wanted to believe. And I want to believe too. Of course I don’t need to, because I KNOW. I was born in space, there are tons of aliens. They just generally steer clear of earth on account of humans being the dirtbags of the galaxy.

Only Popular Girl's Names That Parents No Longer Name Their Daughters

Previously: the men’s name version.

In news that shouldn’t surprise anyone who didn’t recently move from an assisted living facility to a new home in the ground, this is a list of ten once popular girl’s names that have fallen out of fashion in the past century. Honestly, it’s hard to believe they were ever in fashion, although I’m sure our descendants will say the same thing about whatever we’re naming our children now. These do all sound like great names for sassy older rescue dogs though.

Double-Decker School Bus Performs 360 On Icy Hill, Smacks A Couple Cars

This is some low res (presumably zoomed but unenhanced) home security cam footage from Kirkcaldy, Fife, Scotland, of a school bus driver losing control of his double-decker on an icy residential hill, performing a 360 (technically more of a 270), and smacking an SUV into a house in the process. Thankfully, the driver was the only one aboard, and nobody was injured. Wait — there are double-decker school buses?! Where were those when I was growing up?! “Scotland.” Good answer.

Mini Industrial Robotic Arm Unplugs Itself

Mini Industrial Robotic Arm Unplugs Itself

This is a clip from student Matt Barta, who presumably programmed this little industrial robotic arm to pull its own power cord from itself. Smart thinking! Or, who knows, maybe the robot foresaw a life of cruel robotic experimentation in its future and decided to end things itself while it still could. Boy is it going to be disappointed when it gets plugged back in.
