This is a video of pet duck Wrinkles taking a trip to see all the wonders the Ohio State Fair has to offer. And what wonders there were! The games, the rides, the other animals! Although I wasn’t thrilled to see Wrinkles’ owner buying a corn on the cob from the turkey leg vender — I really feel like you should have kept Wrinkles away from that booth. And definitely if there were any duck fat deep fried Oreo venders. You should have gotten matching face paintings though.

This is a video from animator Tomosteen featuring his character Mr. Bone (who appears to be a legless gorilla skeleton) preparing a pizza. The time that must have gone into making this is most impressive. That’s real dedication. And remember: you can’t spell dedication without dead. You catch my drift? “Does it involve knocking off one of your opponents before the pickleball tournament this weekend? HAHA, WHAT?! Jesus, not so loud, do you know a guy or not?

This is a video of angler Andy Moore retelling the story of how he unknowingly discovered a 90-million year old fish fossil in the Missouri River during a fishing tournament. He’s very animated in his storytelling. Those waving arms (especially at 1:25) speak volumes. One about either being overexcited he’s on television, or having just drank eight cups of coffee. Or, who knows, maybe he’s just naturally energetic. Must be nice. *slams double 5-Hour Energy and Red Bull, falls asleep, pees pants*

This is a first person POV ride aboard the front row (back row?) of a reverse roller coaster at Gröna Lund in Sweden. The coaster goes backwards along a series of vertically dropping switchbacks, all but guaranteeing everything I ate waiting in the queue line is going to come right back up. Where it lands? Nobody knows. Likely mostly down below, but probably at least some on the riders around me. They were warned! I mean not verbally, but they saw me pounding the rest of that funnel cake right before getting on. They saw the fire, and they walked into it.

This is a video of Swedish track and fielder Jesper Hellström competing in the 2022 European Championship finals and things going sideways (namely, him) during his jump. Hey, it happens. If I had a dollar for every time things didn’t go the way I’d planned, I’d have a dollar for every single thing I’ve ever done. It’s just a shame style points aren’t awarded in the triple jump, because there’s no question Jesper would have taken home the platinum.

This is a video from creator Marques Brownlee, highlighting his visit to New Jersey based 3D Pets, which specializes in fabricating 3D printed prosthetics for pets. In the video, former stray Chloe is fitted with a new front leg after losing hers to the rough streets of Oklahoma.

Cleo is an awesome dog. She’s one of the nicest dogs I’ve ever met. .. She was found on Petfinder after she spent some time as a stray in Oklahoma with injuries from unknown causes. Now hanging out with Cleo and just playing with her, like you’d almost forget, like you wouldn’t even know that she’s missing a leg ’cause she’s just running around, chasing stuff, playing fetch.

Pets missing limbs unsurprisingly compensate for the loss by overtaxing other parts of their body, which can lead to arthritis and other joint problems in the future, so having a prosthetic replacement helps ensure their healthy longevity. And you know how I feel about pet longevity. “You’d doom the entire human race just to spend another year with a good dog.” I’d push the button right now if I could.
