Professional Beekeeper Attempts To Catch Entire Bee Swarm On The Top Of His Truck

This is a video of Alabama-based professional beekeeper and bee remover Yappy Beeman of Alabama Bee Rescue attempting to remove an entire honey bee swarm from a cedar tree with a firm shake onto the top of his truck, where a hive awaits them. I like how at the beginning he cups the bottom of the bee swarm with his hand the way a doctor would a pair of testicles with a nonchalant, “Let’s see what kinda mood they’re in.” Well, it turns out they’re not in such a pleasant mood, particularly after being knocked onto the top of Yappy’s truck. Per Yappy: Oh yeah they’re pissed. OH YEAH THEY’RE PISSED. Some more info:

I can’t believe it myself that this is the second swarm I’ve caught so far and both queens were captured before I ever shook the branch. This is really making swarm catching fun.
I hope you all are enjoying my 2021 Bee season kickoff with these swarm shakes. I sure am.

Hey — if you do what you love, you never work a day in your life. If you do what you hate, life sucks and then you die. I mean unless you’re like me, then life sucks and you can’t die becau– “Dammit, enough of the undead warlock nonsense.” You must locate the Dagger Of Oblivion and free me from this curse!

Keep going for the video, actual swarm drop starts around 2:05.
