Mountain Highway In China Features ‘High-Speed’ Turnaround

This is a video highlighting a turnaround built into a mountain highway in China’s Guizhou Province. The ‘high-speed’ (actual speed limit 40km/hour, ~25MPH) turnaround allows motorists who realize they’re going to wrong way to rectify the situation without having to wait until the next exit to get off and get back on the highway, which presumably isn’t for many miles. Smart. Of course around here a lot of people don’t wait until the next exit to turn around on the highway either, they’ll just drive right through the grass median provided there’s no barrier. And you know what we call this sort of person? “Jeep people.”
It’s like they only begrudgingly drive where they’re supposed to.
