This is a four hour orbit of the moon in real time created by astronomical filmmaker Seán Doran using photographs taken by Japan’s Kaguya (Selene) lunar orbiter from 2007 to 2009, and released to the public in 2016. I also included a 30-minute video he created highlighting various lunar features, and an 11-minute view from very low orbit. I just tore open an astronaut ice cream and started watching the full four-hour version, but only lasted ten minutes before my make-believe space capsule gave me claustrophobia and I smashed through a window with my computer chair. Now I’m cold and have to lie to my landlord. Well I did find some feathers…
