Well they're no Back To The Future II shoes, but I suppose they'll do.
Nike Releasing A Hinged, Hands-Free On-And-Off Sneaker

In the future humans won’t even wear shoes, we’ll all have rocket boots that come out of our legs like Iron Man’s suit. Or we’ll evolve to have hooves like horses, it could go either way. This is the Nike GO Flyease, a shoe that can be put on and removed entirely hands-free, thanks to its hinged design. Some more info while I slip in and out of my loosely tied one-size-too-large sneakers equally hands-free and ask Nike what all the fuss is about:

Behind the shoe’s smooth motion is a bi-stable hinge that enables the shoe to be secure in fully open and fully closed states.

This duality allows another signature detail: the Nike GO FlyEase tensioner. The tensioner’s unique flexibility super-charges an action many might take for granted (kicking-off a shoe) and completely reimagines this movement as basis for accessible and empowering design.

The shoes were originally developed with the needs of adaptive athletes and people with a limited range of motion in mind, but after development Nike realized it could be utilized by anybody who doesn’t want to bend over or spend any more time putting their shoes on than they absolutely have to, or already have their hands full because of poor planning. And to those people I have this to say: hire me as your life coach and let’s turn this sinking ship you call life around and back to dry land.

Keep going for a video about the shoe’s design.

Thanks to Christina D, who agrees if you’re wiggling your toes in the sand at the beach you don’t even need shoes, hands-free or otherwise.
