Seen here looking like he’s trying to punish his teeth, this is a worthwhile video of Joseph of Joseph’s Machines demonstrating his latest creation: a series of Rube Goldberg machines designed to construct and feed him a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The whole thing is so complex it’s hard to believe the machines ever worked well enough to actually film. Although, based on all the scratches the electric mixer has left on the cutting board at the beginning, I’m guessing they took quite some time to perfect. I thought the Mario part and the seemingly accidental jelly spill followed by the dog cleanup were particularly delightful. Still, this is definitely not the easiest way to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I’ve always just *yelling upstairs* Honeeeeeeey! “What?” I was just going to make myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and wanted to see if you’d like one as well. “No thank you.” Okay dear! *returning to kitchen* You know, made them by hand like a normal person.
Keep going for the video, which really is enjoyable unless you’re a cold hearted snake like Paula Abdul sings about.
