Man Builds Tiny Functional Escalator

Man Builds Tiny Functional Escalator

Because you never know when your husband is going to accidentally shrink the kids and they’ll need help getting around the house, artist and model builder Luke Towan went and constructed this tiny working escalator. Oh man, this thing is going to be the absolute highlight of the dollmall I’ve been building. Well, that and the Spencer’s store (I installed a miniature smoke machine and strobe lights!)

$300,000 Per Spot Robotic Parking Garage In New York City

$300,000 Per Spot Robotic Parking Garage In New York City

This is a video of CNBC journalist Ray Parisi highlighting a robotic parking garage below the 121 East 22nd building in Manhattan where spots cost $300,000+ to own. An RFID tag lets the system know which car pallet to retrieve, then either brings you your car, or the empty pallet to deposit your car onto, which it will then store in its subterranean vehicular vault. It also turns your car around in the process so it’s always returned to you facing outward, so there’s no need to reverse. That’s a nice feature, because if there’s one thing I’ve learned about rich people, it’s that they will 100% back into you and drive off without stopping.

New World’s Fastest Rollerskate Limbo Under 20 Cars: 13.74 Seconds

New World's Fastest Rollerskate Limbo Under 20 Cars: 13.74 Seconds

This is a video of little record setter Deshna Aditya Nahar, who at just 7-years old set the world record for fastest time to rollerskate limbo under 20 cars, with a very respectable 13.74 seconds. For reference, my best time is still counting up (it’s in the years now) since I got stuck under the bumper of the first car and haven’t reattempted it since. Also, I’m pretty sure Aditya could instantly shave a few seconds off her time if they’d just park those cars closer together.

Interactive Latte Foam Art

Interactive Latte Foam Art

These are several videos from latte artist runapocket demonstrating the interactive foam art she creates. And by interactive I mean you make the figures jiggle — they’re not going to play video games with you or anything. Good lord, just how interactive were you expecting this latte art to be? Sounds like you need to pump the brakes on those expectations of yours. Especially for Christmas, your mother and I aren’t getting you anything.

Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’ Finally Gets The Death Metal Cover It Deserves

Rebecca Black's 'Friday' Finally Gets The Death Metal Cover It Deserves

Note: Keep your volume in check, death metal. Also, the demonic AI visuals (generated from the original video) are definitely going to give me nightmares, so maybe not watch it either.

This is a death metal cover of Rebecca Black’s 2011 banger ‘Friday’ performed by Danny Dodge. Personally, I love ‘Friday’ and listen to it every Friday morning, even though my girlfriend hates it when I do. She hates most things I do though, like putting my feet on the table at restaurants. Hey, if I’m coughing up almost $16 for a steak, I deserve to be comfortable!

Keep going for the video, as well as the original for reference, which I will be revisiting this Friday, and every Friday, until the end of time.

Guy Builds Functional LEGO Washing Machine And Dryer

Guy Builds Functional LEGO Washing Machine And Dryer

This is a video of LEGOmaniac The Brick Wall demonstrating the impressively functional washing machine he constructed entirely out of LEGO. It even adds the water, detergent, and has a wringing machine and spin dryer attachments. That is impressive. Is there nothing you can’t build out of LEGO? I mean, besides a loving companion (I accidentally stepped on her in the middle of the night). Still, with the amount of time it took to build this washing machine, you could probably hand-wash all your clothes for the rest of your life and still have time left over. Especially if you never wear a shirt and only wash your jeans once a month like I do.
