This is a video of guitarist Bernth (previously playing a water-filled guitar) experimenting with an 18-string Indian sitar to incorporate its sound into his heavy metal. He produces some pretty tasty riffs with it too. Maybe not something I’d eat all day every day, but it’s not kid’s cereal or drinkable yogurt.

This is a clip from BBC’s Blue Planet II featuring Sir David Attenborough narrating the action as a cuttlefish uses its insane pulsing skin color to hypnotize a crab, then attack it. How quickly its color changes is wild, there’s no question it’s an alien. Admittedly, I felt like I may have been hypnotized too. Where am I, and why did I take my shirt off? “I don’t like the taste of shirt.” I was afraid of that. Just make it quick!

This is a short clip of a jumping spider approaching a house fly, determining which way it will take off (SPOILER: forwards), then grabbing it out of the air as soon as it does. Impressive. Of course the right way to take off would have been as soon as it saw that jumping spider at all. I mean what good is having 4,000 lenses in each eye if you’re not going to use them? Dumbass.

Because nobody will suspect the person pushing a baby stroller to be getting ripped on cold ones hidden inside, Matt Thompson went and modded a baby stroller into the Beer-Me-Baby Stroller, complete with a doll on top to make the whole thing look convincing (plus the baby’s head doubles as the cooler door handle). Matt also packed Coke can skins to slide the beers into so anybody who looks will think he’s just drinking soda. Kind of like how everybody on my video meetings sees me drinking out of a coffee mug and assumes I’m drinking coffee. I’m not though. “Double rum and Cokes?” Triple blood of my enemies. I have to be really careful not to spill or smile on camera either.

This is a video of a woman pulling seven baby ducks from a storm drain and reuniting them with their worried mother. Baby ducks falling in drains is an all too common occurrence, and I’ve been saying it from years — we need to duckling-proof those drains. We have a responsibility as human beings. Sure, most humans don’t even watch over their own kids and let them run in my yard like it’s their own, but it turns out the motion-activated sprinklers I installed weren’t the deterrent I was hoping they’d be this summer. It’s like a water park to these kids, and I’m footing the utility bill.

This is a video from a GoPro attached beneath the board of pro skater Dean-Paul Denniston as he makes his way around a skatepark performing a bunch of flippy tricks and slides. It was pretty neat to watch. Have I told you that I broke my arm skateboarding? Well, I should say, I rebroke my arm skateboarding. I broke it the first time snowboarding. My doctor said I should probably lay off the board sports. I told him he should probably lay off drinking on the job if he’s going to get so close to people looking up their noses! He must have said something to front desk, because then they wouldn’t let me schedule my next appointment.
