Guy Builds Off-Road Electric Wheelchair For Girlfriend, Decides To Mass-Produce

This is a video of The Rig (aka ‘Not-A-Wheelchair’), an electric mobility device built by satin-voiced Youtuber JerryRigEverything for his girlfriend Cambry, which was designed to travel places traditional electric wheelchairs can’t. Some more info and specs while I add one to my Christmas list, like Christmas is even coming this year. Or Halloween:

The Rig is constructed with an aluminum frame, detachable bumper, and four inch off road bike tires. We designed this ‘off road wheelchair’ to be as easy to maintain and repair as possible. It’s made mostly with bicycle parts!

Range of 10-20 miles with one battery, and 25-35 miles with two batteries (depending on terrain, weight of the rider, and weight of the cargo) .

Both steering handles can fold back for easy side entry.

Note: This is not a medical device. Recommended weight capacity less than 225 lbs.

The Rig starts at $4,750 for the single battery version, and $5,450 for the dual battery model. You also get to pick your frame color from seven different options, unfortunately none of which are camo. I love camo, I feel like it makes me invisible! “You know it doesn’t though, right?” What?! *startled, pulling arm out of vending machine* I mean of course. I’m not stupid. Seriously though how many fingers am I holding up?

Thanks to Christina D, who agrees everyone deserves to enjoy nature, from right in the middle of it.
