This is a video of what I can only assume is an off-duty robotic street performer tipping another robotic street performer. He does a fantastic job, possibly even better than the robot he’s tipping. You know I’d argue if you’re this good you’re actually allowed to take the other performer’s tips, but that’s just me and I once stole a street guitarist’s tips outside a bar while yelling ‘Dave Matthews!’

This is a video from Antiques Roadshow of a wife having her husband’s complete set of 1993 Magic: The Gathering beta cards appraised, and being shocked at their value. I assume her husband probably had some idea of their worth, but according to her, “It’s just like they’re cards to me.” The appraisal? $65,000 – $100,000 at auction, with the power nine cards being approximately $50,000 – $75,000 of that value. Funnily, I’m pretty sure I actually owned an original beta Mox Emerald card (appraised at $8,000 – $12,000) back in the day. Unfortunately, a time traveler from the future came back and stole it from me. “No, he put it between the spokes of his bicycle to sound like a motorcyle.” Mom! “What?” You never should have let me do that.

In fitting end of 2020 news, this is a short video from I-495 near Macon, Georgia of a firetruck that took its name literally and was spotted burning on the side of the interstate. Presumably this was the same firetruck they sent to extinguish the dumpster fire that was 2020, which explains a lot. Also, was that firetruck not carrying water? Shouldn’t it be able to extinguish itself? I mean granted I’m no fireman but I do buy their fundraising calendars, so I do know a thing or two.

To put things into perspective, this is a timeline of the major Star Wars movies and shows relative to our own real timeline from 1952 – 2019. I learned a lot by looking at it. Mostly, that according to my calculations it would appear Anakin is old enough to be Darth Vader and — AND — the father of Han Solo! Crazy, right? We should write a conspiracy theory about it. “Have you actually watched any of these?” Only The Mandalorian, my parents didn’t believe in outer space growing up. Also notice how there’s no 2020 in the Star Wars universe? Clearly they had a worse year than we did.

This is a video of sister rats Spice (the white one) and S’mores (the orange one — personally I would have named the orange one Pumpkin Spice and the white one Marshmallow) playing a friendly game of basketball in Blacksburg, Virginia (go Hokies!). The rats were slowly trained how to play the game, and I included a video of some of that training in case you were curious how to train your own rat how to play. Me? I’m just happy if my rats stay in the walls and aren’t scurrying around the kitchen when I stumble in for a midnight snack. “You’re saying they’re not pets.” I mean I have named one Master Splinter, but no.

This is a video of 19-year old University Of Lincoln student Aoife Mcmorrow, who accidentally uploaded a portfolio video assignment to her instructor in 360-degree view, making her look like a giant potato head. She also submitted the video less than 24 hours before the deadline, and there’s a 24 block before being able to resubmit, so this is what the instructor is getting. That is unfortunate. Of course if I were her I wouldn’t worry too much about it unless the course was Computer Basics or Uploading A Video 101.
